High Atlas Berber Villages Trek (Days 1–3)

Day 1: Marrakech – Imi Oughlad – Tinzert Village

Your adventure begins with a drive from Marrakech toward the High Atlas Mountains. At Imi Oughlad (1,450 m), you meet your local guide, muleteers, and team.

The first trek day is a gentle introduction, passing through juniper forests, terraced fields, and remote Berber settlements inside Toubkal National Park.


Overnight in a traditional Berber gîte in the peaceful village of Tinzert.

Day 2: Tinzert – Azzaden Valley – Aït Aïssa

Today’s route leads into the beautiful Azzaden Valley, one of the most fertile and scenic valleys in the Toubkal region. You walk alongside mountain streams, walnut groves, and stone villages, with impressive views of Mount Toubkal and its surrounding peaks.

Overnight in Aït Aïssa village, sharing a warm meal prepared by your cook.

Day 3: Azzaden Valley – Tizi n’Mzik Pass – Imlil

A rewarding ascent brings you to Tizi n’Mzik Pass (2,489 m), offering panoramic views across the High Atlas. The descent leads to Imlil, Morocco’s most famous mountain village and the historic base for mountaineering in North Africa.

After lunch, transfer to Marrakech and enjoy a free evening.

Atlas Crossing & Sahara Desert Discovery (Days 4–6)

Day 4: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Leaving Marrakech, you cross the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka Pass, passing remote villages and dramatic mountain scenery.

Stop at the UNESCO-listed Aït Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic kasbahs. Continue south through palm oases and desert plateaus to the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and historic kasbahs.

Day 5: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi

After breakfast, visit the impressive Todra Gorges, where sheer limestone walls rise over 300 meters.

In the afternoon, arrive in Merzouga and begin a camel trek into Erg Chebbi, home to Morocco’s highest sand dunes. Watch the sunset from the dunes before enjoying a traditional Berber dinner and music around the fire.

Day 6: Erg Chebbi – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara, followed by a camel ride back to Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower, return to Marrakech via Agdez and Ouarzazate, with scenic stops along the way.
