Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil – Toubkal Base Camp
After a transfer from Marrakech to Imlil, the trek begins through orchards of walnut and apple trees. The trail passes through the village of Aremd and continues to the pilgrimage site of Sidi Chamharouch before ascending to Toubkal Base Camp.
Walking time: 5 hours
Elevation gain: +1450m
Accommodation: Mountain camp (tents)
Day 2: Summit of Mount Toubkal (4167m)
An early departure leads to the summit of Mount Toubkal. From the top, enjoy wide views over the Atlas range and towards the Sahara on clear days. Return to base camp.

Day 3: Ouanoukrim Peaks (4089m and 4083m)
This day involves a more demanding ascent towards the Ouanoukrim massif via Tizi n’Ouagane pass. Reach the summits of Timzguida and Ras, offering extensive views over southern Morocco.

Day 4: Toubkal Camp – Aguelzim Pass – Tamsoult

Day 5: Tamsoult – Tizi Oussem – Id Issa
Descend through the Azzaden Valley, passing terraced fields and traditional villages. Lunch is taken in Tizi Oussem before continuing to Id Issa, where you stay in a family-run guesthouse. A traditional hammam is available.

Day 6: Id Issa – Tacht Pass – Imi Oughlad – Marrakech

Best Time to Trek in the Atlas Mountains
