Tasghimout Summit Day Hike – Hidden Juniper Trail | From Marrakech or Imlil

Description The Tasghimout Summit Day Hike is a challenging and rewarding loop trek starting from Imlil (1740m). This remote route is far from crowded trails and takes you through traditional Berber villages, ancient juniper forests, and up to the high Tasghimout Plateau and Summit at around 2600m. The hike offers exceptional 360° views over the Azzaden “Red Valley,” the Toubkal range, and surrounding peaks such as Bouignoussen (4002m), Afella, Tazaghart, and Adj Summit. After enjoying a picnic lunch at the summit, the descent follows a different trail toward Tizi Mazik, with a refreshing stop at Hassan’s orange juice and mint tea shop, before returning to Imlil. Available with pick-up from Marrakech at 8:30 am or meet directly in Imlil at 9:30 am. Total hiking time is about 6 to 7 hours, covering roughly 17 km with 950 m of elevation gain.
