Begin in Marrakech and trek to Mount Toubkal’s summit in 3 days via the scenic Tamsoult Refuge route. Experience waterfalls, high passes, and remote valleys with a local guide. Trek Overview Duration: 3 days / 2 nights Start & End Point: Marrakech Max Altitude: 4,167m (Toubkal summit) Difficulty: Moderate to Challenging Best Season: May–October (summer trekking), April & Nov (possible snow sections) Accommodation: Mountain refuges Itinerary Day 1: Marrakech → Imlil (1,740m) → Tizi Mzik Pass (2,489m) → Tamsoult Refuge (2,250m) We depart Marrakech in the morning for a 1.5-hour private transfer to Imlil, the gateway to the High Atlas. The trek begins with a steady climb to the Tizi Mzik Pass, revealing panoramic views of the Imlil and Azzadene valleys. Descend through juniper forests to the Tamsoult Refuge, near the tallest waterfalls in Toubkal National Park. Dinner and overnight at refuge. Walking time: 5–6 hrs. Day 2: Tamsoult Refuge → Aguelzim Pass (3,560m) → Toubkal Refuge (3,207m) After breakfast, tackle the challenging ascent to the Aguelzim Pass, rewarded with sweeping views over surrounding peaks and the deep turquoise Ifni Lake far below. Descend to the Toubkal Refuge for dinner and rest before the summit push. Walking time: 5–6 hrs. Day 3: Toubkal Refuge → Toubkal Summit (4,167m) → Imlil → Marrakech An early start takes us up Mount Toubkal for sunrise — an unforgettable moment with views stretching from the Atlas peaks to the Sahara Desert. After celebrating at the summit, descend to the refuge for breakfast, continue down to Imlil, and return to Marrakech in the late afternoon. Walking time: 8–9 hrs.
